Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise, an American actor and writer, is best known for portraying Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island during the 1960s. In the 1950s, she began her acting career on stage for Bettle Davis' show Two's Company. She continued to perform in various Broadway productions before making it big on the national theatre arena with Li'lAbner's in 1957. In 1957, she released her debut music album called It's time for Tina. Louise made her foray into Hollywood as Griselda Walden from God's Big Acre, a dramatic film that debuted in 1958.The film received a crow's-foot of acclaim as well as Louise received an award called the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. This time she was a student at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her tutor. Her contract was signed with CBS for the role of Ginger Grant. Louise did not stop juggling her professional life between Broadway as well as Hollywood playing more serious characters as opposed to the image of the glamorous girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She also played SG-1 on the show and Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. She has also become a well-known director for popular television shows such as Supernatural and The 100. Born in Essex Ontario, on the 27th August, 1965 her family relocated to Toronto when she was three. She spent the majority of her youth there and then her adolescence. They settled her in Vancouver after she was selected for the role of Samantha Carter.
