Ina Garten, an American author of cookery books and Emmy Award-winning host of the Food Network's most popular program, Barefoot Contessa that began airing in 2002 and will run for 27 seasons till 2020. Ina Garten started her career in the White House where she wrote the nuclear energy policy as well as budget papers. She initially loved the intellectual rigors of working for the White House, but eventually was bored. She instead bought Barefoot Contessa, a specialty grocery store. After nearly 18 years of making the shop a huge success she sold it, and then began creating her first novel. Many additional cookbooks as well as magazine articles followed. The Food Network TV show also made its debut with great success. Its products include kitchen equipment and cooking materials to storage containers. Ina has never attended a cooking school, nor did she be employed at an establishment. She is a complete self-taught. She's known for her easygoing approach to cooking and entertaining. Some of her best known recipes include Skillet-Roasted, Lemon Chicken Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac and Cheese Beef Bourguignon Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Lemon Bars.
