Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American singer and actress is very well-known. In her early years she was subjected to racial taunts by American citizens of all races. If she attended an event at school and was given high praise for her singing, in ninth grade, the girl began to feel more confident. The experience not only increased her confidence, but it was also a change in the direction of her professional career. When she was 22 she was a graduate of New York's Julliard School. When she turned 23 she began her career in Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Then, when she was 23 she made her film debut in You've Got Mail. In the Broadway original production of Spamalot she portrayed The Lady of The Lake and won both the Tony Award as well as the praise of critics. The following year, in 2007, she was cast on the ABC program Grey's Anatomy and became more popular. She is known as a performer and has also released a single as well as an extended play. Also, she's an activist and works hard for LGBT rights.
